Heer M40 field tunic which was worn by a Leutnant serving with Infanterie Regiment List. It comes with overall original attached insignia. This tunic comes with nice period time modification for "fashion reason".
1. A dark green collar has been added above the original fieldgrey color.
2. The original EM/NCO breast eagle was removed and a machine-stiched eagle was attached by machine (through the liner). The breast eagle is unique and was modified for this officer by adding bullion bordering.
These modifications were definitely done period time and make this tunic unique!
Collar tabs attached by hand. Original EM tabs removed. Shoulder boards to slip on by adding small loops. Original machine-stiched cufftitle "Infanterie-Regiment List" attached by hand to the left cuff.
Ribbons for an Iron Cross 2nd Class and the East medal as well as four pair of loops for combat badges as well as loops for a long ribbon bar.
This Leutnant must have been very well decorated.
Typical M40 grey cotton lining. "M40" stamped as well as size stamped and maker marked. "Schraml" named which looks to be the name of the Leutnant.
