A German M40 helmet. The type of helmet was issued to Heer, Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine, Polilzei and Waffen-SS troops. This example was issued by the Heer since you can guess the shape of single army eagle covered with camo paint.
Paint: Original 3-color camo paint. Around 95% still present. Some signs of wear.
Decals: one covered army decal.
Lining: Flexible leather lining. Still soft. Original cord. No markings. Probably size 55
Unopened prongs. The liner is original to the shell.
Chin strap: Soft leather. One crack near the bolt.
Markings: NS62. Named to the inside.
