Important grouping to later SS-Hauptscharführer August Petersen. He served as a SS-Stabsscharführer (Spieß) with SS-Infanterie-Regiment 10 during WW1. Before the war, he served with SS-Totenkopf-Standarte "Oberbayern".
Original portrait photograph of SS-Sturmführer Friedrich Kaulitz with a period time ink dedication to "Rttf. Petersen" dated 1937. Kaulitz wears his "SS-Totenkopfring" and his SS leader's sword on the photo. He wears an SS-VT tunic with cuffband "Oberbayern".
Kalitz served as leader of 1., 9., and 18. Hundertschaft of I.SS-VT "Oberbayern" from September 1936. He was promoted an SS-Hauptsturmführer shortly after. Kaulitz was born in 1909. His SS number was 2890. His NSDAP number 88864. He has joined both organisations in 1934. According to the "Dienstalterliste", he was awarded the SS honor sword and the SS honor ring. According to a note dated 1939, he was pushed out on 15.3.1939 for an unknown reason.
