Description

Important grouping to later SS-Hauptscharführer August Petersen. He served as a SS-Stabsscharführer (Spieß) with SS-Infanterie-Regiment 10 during WW1. Before the war, he served with SS-Totenkopf-Standarte "Oberbayern".


Lot of four photo albums as well as other personal documents to Petersen.

RAD album:
Early RAD service time photo album containing 68 photos.

Black album "Meine Dienstzeit"
177 photos as well as 6 loose photos including postwar photos of a veteran's meeting. 
A very rare album starting in 1933 when Petersen served with the FAD. He then joined the Heer in 1934. After a few pages photos taken during his time with Allgemeine-SS start containing extremely rare portrait photos. One wears a "Thüringen" cufftitle for example. Another one collar tabs of SS-Totenkopfstandarte 18. 
A few photos must have been taken during the Poland campaign and some even later.

Light-brown album:
A pre war photo album containing 69 very interesting photos  documenting his training time with 17./SS-Totenkopf-Standarte 1"Oberbayern".  Many photos show very rare insignia.

Brown photo album:
A wartime album containing 125 photo where must have all been taken in Russia. Including some nice photos of vehicles and Zündapp KS600 with sidecar. It documents the hard time soldiers had passing the muddy Russian roards. An interesting portrait of three SS-TK members to the last time.
Peteresen has served with SS-Infanterie-Regiment 10 at that time. 

Two booklets keeping private as well as military contacts shorly after the war.

Four photo of an "Ehrensturm" parade around the Brandenburg gate in 1933.  One August 1942 dated list with unit information of 3./SS-Ers.Btl. "Ost"
