Description

Important grouping to later SS-Hauptscharführer August Petersen. He served as a SS-Stabsscharführer (Spieß) with SS-Infanterie-Regiment 10 during WW1. Before the war, he served with SS-Totenkopf-Standarte "Oberbayern".

Personal pocket size diary Petersen. He mainly used it as a poetry album collecting dedications of his comrades. The signatures and dedications contain a lot of unit history related facts and nearly all are dated so it is a great source for researching Petersens military time. One signed with "10 III-SS.V.T. "Thüringen" for example.
You can also clearly tell that his nickname must have been "Muckie". Most signature were collected in Wildflecken in 1938. Some pages were really nicely set-up and two even show period time SS stickers.
One page can tell that he must have served with III. SS.V.T. "Germania" in 1938. Anotherone proofs he was part of the Sudetenland campaign.
