Correct unmarked blade, as it must be with SS Chained Service Daggers. It shows the etched motto "Meine Ehre heißt Treue". Fine black wooden handle with original SS roundel and national eagle. No damage. The crossguards are made from different materials (nickel and iron). Probably one was replaced.
Black re-painted steel scabbard with nickel-plated iron fittings. No dents. One screw is missing, the other four are present. With the original dagger chain (magnetic). The chain links display SS-runes and skulls. "SS" stamped to the reverse. Unfortunately, the snap clip "Germanic knot" no longer works.
The dagger was cleaned and the upper area is slightly loose ("wobbles").
