A German M40 helmet. The type of helmet was issued to Heer, Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine, Polilzei and Waffen-SS troops. This example was issued by the Luftwaffe.
Paint: Original factory paint. Around 85-90% still present. Some rust and signs of wear and age. The helmet was overpainted with light-blue paint once. It was removed by a collector.
Decals: Only about 10% left.
Lining: Leather lining. Still flexible and soft but damaged. Size 58 marked.
Unopened prongs.
