A very nice M1940 Luftwaffe two-tone spray camouflage combat helmet. This helmet was found in Liege area in the late 80’ and apparently came from an anti-aircraft base. The helmet is a « Q64 » with a lot number « DN179 ». The helmets exterior features a really nice application of two-tone spray camouflage finish with a sand mixture. The green color has been applied in a tiger strip pattern that is very distinctive and desirable. The camouflage rates in at approximately 85% with scuffs and scraps. Split pins are complete, tightly secured to the helmet and retain part of their camouflage finish. The Luftwaffe decal has been left visible. The helmet is in its original state and retains the desirable matte finish on the exterior. The interior remains untouched and undisturbed. Well lived in yet complete liner. Leather is used with some light fraying. Drawstring and chinstrap are all intact. The chinstrap is maker marked and dated « 1940 ». A superb Luftwaffe camouflaged helmet with a very unique camouflage pattern.
