Solid zinc Infantry Assault Badge. Silver grade made by the Lüdenscheid based maker Funcke & Brünninghaus.Although most of F&Bl's production will be found void of any markings this variant is the exception. Properly marked L/56 on the reverse it's only one of a handful of combat award makers that actually put their LDO code on their awards. It's this code that makes this IAB, also in worn condition, a desirable variant.
