Luftwaffe visor cap for EM and NCOs. Unlike an officer's cap which was always worn with a silver bullion piping, EM and NCOs had a colored piping that indicated the branch they were serving for.
Branch: Signal troops. Brown piping.
Insignia: A Zinc cap eagle and an aluminum wreath badge. All prongs in place. The eagle looks to be re-attached.
Chin strap: textbook black strap for EM and NCOs. Sewn buttons!
Lining: Fine brown linen
Celluloid diamond: slightly damaged.
Maker's mark: EREL (Robert Lubstein). "Lieferjahr 1938" dated.
Sweat-band: minor signs of wear. Still very soft.
"Luftnachrichten-Abteilung 15" unit marked. Dated 1939.
