Important postcard (Sanke) with the original autograph of WW1 Manfred Freiherr von Richthofen. Pencil. The postcard is 8.4.18 dated and was shipped on 9.4.18 (stamped). It is addressed to Bernhard Maves who sent a poem to Richthofen asking for an autograph as it says to the reverse. 

Bernhard Maves was a period time collector of autographes. Part of this offer is a Certificate of Authenticity of Bernd Poster from heroautographs.com adding pictures of several other cards coming out of his collection.

8,5cm x 13cm. Excellent condition.

In addition to the card, there is an original envelope with sender "Der kommandierende General der Luftstreitkräfte". Stamped twice. Addressed again to Bernhard Maves. Shipped on 21.2.18. Including the original 20.2.18 dated letter thanking Maves for his wishes. It was sent and signed by an Oberleutnant and adjutant.
