Late war Luftwaffe officer's visor cap made by EREL. EREL maker marked sweat-band. About 6cm of the seam has opened due to some wear. It is "18. MAI 1944" dated and size "55" marked to the inside of the sweat-band. Gold color silk lining. Removed celluloid diamond.

The insignia were certainly not attached by EREL this way. Interestingly, a breast eagle was attached by hand. The eagle looks like it has been there for ages. Even if the eagle shows corrosion and the wreath badge not, we still believe the cap was worn period time this way.
No moth damage.
