Paint: Original factory paint to the shell which was overpainted "fieldgrey" after 1940. Nearly 100% still present. Signs of wear and age.
Lining: Flexible leather lining. Still soft. Original cord. An early round maker's stamp. Size 57.
The prongs were opened once.
Chin strap: Soft leather. 1941 dated and maker marked.
