A German M35 helmet. The earliest type of helmet issued to Heer, Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine and Waffen-SS troops. This example was issued by the Luftwaffe.
Paint: Nearly 100% are present. A very dark blue-grey paint.
Decals: Both factory applied decals are nearly 100%. Minor scratches to the national shield
Lining: Still flexible. Original cord. Very soft leather. Rarely Flak Rgt.13 unit marked.
Unopened prongs. The liner is original to the shell.
Chin strap: Soft brown leather. Maker marked and 1940 dated.
Markings: Q64
According to the chin strap's date, this helmet could be one of the last M35 helmets issued with two decals. This also explains the dark color.
