Fantastic Luftwaffe M40 camo helmet named to "Obgfr. Jacobi". Issued as a blue Luftwaffe helmet, the outside was period time painted with camo paint leaving the original blue factory color to the inside.
The helmet comes with its originally applied size "55" stamped leather liner. The liner is very soft and shows minor signs of wear. Original cord in place. Soft leather chin strap marked "bdr41".
The shell is "Q62" maker marked and size marked.
The outside shows a brushed camo paint. There are 3 colors: green, tan, brown. This sort of 3 color camo paint would have been typically worn in Normandy or Italy around 1944. There is over 90% of the original camo paint in place.
