The awards sewn to clean original ribbons, covered on the reverse with black felt. Pin system intact.

The Friedrich August Cross was awarded to soldiers of the Grand Duchy of Oldenburg who distinguished themselves in the 1st World War. Among the merits, however, also counted home merit. The present bar clearly documents the active participation of the wearer in the events and challenges of the 1st World War, but not characterized by service directly at the front.
