Heer service tunic

Description

A very fine early dress tunic, a so-called "Gesellschaftsrock" for a Leutnant serving with Gebirgsjäger-Regiment 100. He was awarded the German Cross in gold or the "Heeresbergführerabzeichen" as proven by two award loops to his right breast pocket.

Around 1936.

All insignia and award loops are absolutely authentic and period time attached. Green shoulder boards with early style "100" cyphers. Officer's collar tabs attached by machine. Please note it is more like the "police green color" but these mismatches did exist.

Complete buttons. Loops for a German Cross in gold, three more awards as well as a ribbon bar. Officer's breast eagle attached by hand. EM/NCO type of Edelweiss sleeve badge attached by hand.

Grey silk lining. No name tag but a "Franz Strobl, Ulm" tailor's tag.

Some moth bites.
