Waffen-SS, M40-model (2nd pattern), reversible camouflaged-smock ('Tarnhemd') as executed in the so-called: 'Palm'-camo-pattern (ie. 'Palmenmuster') as constructed from smooth-type, linen-based material.
The piece comes in a wonderful condition overall: it has truly very bright and vivid colours and was only minimally used (it was never cleaned nor washed).
It comes without its closing-cord but has all its elastic straps in place (which are still flexible and functional). Regrettably, does it miss its end-pieces on both arms which have been period-'cut-off' (something that was more often done).
The piece does show some signs of having been only minimally worn and does show a single, square-sized hole (sized: 10 x 5 cms.) on its top-back (that has, however, been period(?) repaired with a piece of camouflaged cloth).
Still a fantastic piece that is executed in the rarely seen 'Palmenmuster' camo-pattern !
