An early German M35 helmet. The earliest type of helmet issued to Heer, Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine and Waffen-SS troops. This example was issued by the Heer.
The helmet was period time (around 1941) overpainted with a rough, fieldgrey paint. Both decals look to be still underneath the paint!
Nearly 100% of the period time paint is covering the shell.
Decals: Covered by period time paint.
Lining: Flexible leather lining. Still soft.Size "54" marked. The cord looks to be replaced.
Unopened prongs. The liner is original to the shell.
