A German M40 helmet. The type of helmet was issued to Heer, Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine, Polilzei and Waffen-SS troops. This example was issued by the Heer.
Paint: Original factory paint covered by a three-color camo paint. Brushed. Tan, green and red. Around 85% still present. Rust and signs of wear and age.
Decals: The eagle decal is covered by the camo paint.
Lining: Flexible leather lining. Still soft. Missing cord. Size 54 stamped.
Unopened prongs. The liner is original to the shell.
Markings: Hard to read but it will be a size 62 shell.
