Heer parade tunic

Description

Heer Kavallerie parade tunic to Oberleutnant Clemens von Fürstenberg. Von Fürstenberg was awarded the German Cross on 14.8.1942 serving with Panzer-Aufklärungs-Abteilung 37.

Early prewar parade tunic which von Fürstenberg most probably had worn as an EM/NCO rank. It originally came with other insignia attached. You can see traces of previously attached collar tabs and also, the shoulder boards were not attached by a tailor.

The tunic obviously got new insignia when promoted an officer. It could have most likely badged up by his mother for example.
Note that the color of the tabs is slightly mismatching, however, both were certainly attached in one go with the same tread.

Re-attached buttons.

16.4.1937 dated name tag machine-attached to the inner breast pocket. Named to Cl.v.Fürstenberg. The tunic was tailored by Walther Stollmann.

Interesting embroidered holes to both sides of his chest. Two holes for his German Cross, two holes for a 7,3cm long ribbon bar. Three more pairs of holes for three awards.

Good condition 2. No moth damage.

Small size.
