Description

Large medal bar of the Prussian colonel z.D. Edmund Deter with eight decorations: First a Prussian Red Eagle Order 4th class, made by "Zehn", loosely attached, slightly damaged in the edge of the metal of the medallion, then a Prussian Crown Order 3rd class, also made by "Zehn" smashed in the medallion edge, followed by a Hessian Knight's Cross 1st Class of the Order of Philip, then a Knight's Cross 1st Class of the Baden Order of the Zähringer Lion,  then a Prussian service cross for officers, a Prussian war commemorative medal for combatants of the Franco-Prussian War, then a Centennial Medal and finally a Baden government jubilee medal. The enameled awards in very good condition, without any enamel damage. Terminated on the reverse with red felt and needle system. Color fresh ribbons, few loose threads on the back.

Deter served for a long time in the (Hessian) IR 117 and (Baden) IR 170, hence probably the irregular wearing style of the Hessian and Baden orders. He was born on July 28, 1851, on the family estate Manker in Prussia and fought as Prussian citizen already 1870/71 in the Franco-Prussian War.
