Description

A very early Bavarian reservist's mug to Simon Weber serving with 13. Infanterie-Regiment "Franz Joseph I. Kaiser von Österreich" from 1891 until 1893 in Ingolstadt.

A nice painted porcelain mug with colored pictures. Original pewter lid in place. The area where the year ist noted was restored. Unfortunately, this area is also separated from the mug. Please see pictures!

"L. Maik (or Maix) Zinngiesserei, Müchen" marked to the bottom. The lithophane bottom shows the portrait of König Ludwig II. of Bavaria. Well visible when the mug is held against the light.

0.5-litre mug. Slight chipping and one fine hair crack inside.
