Rare SS Honor ring to SS-Hauptsturmführer Karl Wicklmayr serving as a war correspondent with 6./Infanterie-Regiment 468 and SS-Kriegsberichter-Zug of the "Leibstandarte-SS Adolf Hitler" as well as SS-(Propaganda) Standarte "Kurt Eggers".
Karl Wicklmayr was born on 12. October 1909 in Munich. He joined the SS and NSDAP on 1. May 1930. SS-number: 2661. NSDAP-number 659 357. From 1. April 1940 until 17. June 1940 he visited the SS-Junkerschule in Tölz. POW of the US Allies from 9. June 1945 until 31. March 1947.
The ring was manufactured by Gahr, München. Engraved "S.lb. Wicklmayr 21.6.41 H.Himmler". Inside diameter: 21.44 mm. A nicely worn ring in good condition.
