An excellent Kriegsmarine officer's dagger with hangers and portepee in mint condition. Including the rare bag of issue. Made by Carl Eickhorn, Solingen.
Nice etched blade with naval motifs. "Eickhorn" maker marked. White handle with intact wire wrapping. No chipping. Fine gilt brass fittings. Matching officer's portepee. Excellent gilt brass scabbard. A tiny dent and the gilding is slightly worn off at one area.
Including the original hangers. Constructed of black ripped silk ribbons with nice gilt aluminium fittings. Black velvet backing. The snap-clips are fully working. A strap has a small hole in the reverse and the grommets have a slight rust film. However, the rest is in very nice condition.
Furthermore the original and very rare bag of issue. It displays the logo to Eickhorn to the front as well as "1671" numbered. The paper cover is damaged and unfortunately, the upper area is missing (around 60 % present).
