A German M40 helmet. The type of helmet was issued to Heer, Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine, Polilzei and Waffen-SS troops. This example was issued by the Luftwaffe.
Paint: Original factory paint. Around 85-90% still present. Some rust and signs of wear and age.
Decals: The eagle decal shows the swastika being scratched off.
Lining: Lather lining. Still flexible and sot. One small part damaged. Original cord. 57 size stamped. Name
The prongs look to have been opened once however lining and shell look to belong together for sure,
