A quite rare M42 Luftwaffe helmet with Heer fieldgrey color instead of the Luftwaffe blue color. It was most probably issued to Luftwaffe Felddivision troops late in war.
85% of the original fieldgrey color in place. The Luftwaffe decal is about 90%. Someone tried to remove the swastica (see light scratches) however gave up very soon. The swastika is still about 80%.
Complete with leather liner (size 57) and maker marked chin strap (maker hard to read). The liner is "Reisinger jun." maker marked.
The rives do not match entirely and we believe the liner was changed at some time. However it matches nicely and is entirely original.
