Imperial Germany reservist's beer mug

Description

Bavarian reservist's mug to Gefreiten Gottfried Römmelt serving with Königlich Bayerisches Infanterie-Leib-Regiment, 5. Kompanie in München from 1908 until 1910. So-called "Leibregiment".  

Fine colored porcelain mug. Original pewter lid with a rare glass dome to the top. The inlay of the dome consists of a guard in front of a guardhouse as well a cavalryman (fallen down). "DRGM" and "J.M." (Jakob Maier) marked inside. Including a list of names of his comrades, who served with him.

"J. Maier, München" marked. The lithophane bottom has the typical soldier and maiden scene. Well visible when the mug is held against the light.

0.5-litre mug. No chipping. No damage.

Good condition 2.
