Deutsches Reich 1918 - 1945
Heer Stahlhelm M35 mit beiden Abzeichen (getarnt) mit Wehrpaß Fw. Seifert

Beschreibung

Untouched M35 helmet, Wehrpaß and document which came straight of the widow of Feldwebel Seifert about 15 years ago. There was also his sabre and parade uniform with visor cap originally.

His helmet was battle damaged. It shows a crack to the top. It was shipped home to his widow after this death.

Paint: Original early "apple-green" factory paint in place. Period time overpainted with a "saw-dust" camo painted in the field. The eagle decal was left out. The national decal was overpainted. Basically, there are well over 90% of the original saw-dust paint in place but there is some rust covering one area.

Decals: The eagle decal is about 95%. The national decal is nearly entirely covered with camo paint.

Lining: Flexible leather lining. Still soft. Original cord. "58" size stamped.
Unopened prongs. The liner is original to the shell.

Chin strap: Full length. Flexible. 1937 dated. Maker marked.

Markings: EF66

Wehrpaß with period time attached photograph of Seifert. Four loose photographs of him showing parade uniform which was once part of the grouping.
A letter of condolence to his widow explaining that he was killed in action on 31.7.1942 during a battle at Fedorkowo, 5 km Noth Rshew. A document which shipped home with his Wehrpaß to his wife. A small Inf.Rgt.41 military swimming course document.

Seifert joined Inf.Rgt.41 in 1935 which was based in Amberg. He must have met his later wife here since he was from Amberg. In 1938 he was sent to Inf.Rgt.86 and  in 1938 to Inf.Rgt.187 where he was killed as a platoon leader.
