Stunning early M35 double decal helmet which has seen some combat and was period time overpainted with grey color in the field.
It was very common to overpaint early apple green color helmets after 1940. You can clearly see the apple green to the shell and rivets. The eagle decal was left out when painting and is still about 85-90%. The national decal was overpainted as it should be after 1940 but you can still see it underneath the paint.
A classic Wehrmacht fieldgrey color was used and you can clearly see the brush marks!
Original attached leather liner and rivets. The name of the soldier was written to the liner. Original cord.
Serious signs of wear (sweat stains). Slightly shrunk. Size 55/56.
A dent to the left side of the shell. Probably caused by a shell splinter.
100% untouched and uncleaned. According to our cosignor, found in "Les Vosges", East of France.
