Waffen-SS M40 single decal helmet. EF66 stamped to the shell. "0788" or "0786" lot numbered.
The shell comes with around 85% of the original grey color. It was battle damaged by a shell splinter to the rear. The SS decal is about 70% and shows clear signs of wear.
The leather liner and chin strap is in bad condition. I was oiled a lot. The rivets should be original to this shell. It is normal for this maker that paint of the shell and paint of the rivets are not matching in finish and texture paint. This nice shell will be well worth getting restored with a nice liner and chin strap!
