Description

Fantastic World War bridging medal bar with 9 decorations, including the full ribbon bar. The Sequence from left to right starts with a Prussian Iron Cross, 1914, 2nd class, followed by a Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt Honor Cross 3rd Class with swords in silver with enameled and gilded center and swords, Oldenburg, Friedrich August Cross 2nd Class in blackened Brass, Braunschweig, War Merit Cross 2nd Class, the so called Hindenburg Cross, III.Reich, Loyal Worker Cross for 25 years of service in silvered metal and enamel, Bulgaria, WWI Commemorative Medal with swords, Austria, WWI Commemorative Medal and Hungray, WWI Commemorative Medal.

This brave officer added 3 combat clasps right above the Oldenburg and Brunswick medals to proudly demonstrate his tour during WWI. The bars “Ypern”, “Flandernschlacht” and “Durchbruchsschlacht” stem from the so called Flandern Cross. A decoration one could apply for a fee after WWI.

While the medal bar is terminated on the reverse with green felt and needle suspension, the ribbon bar is terminated in red.

Beautiful medal bar with interesting and rich combination from a seasoned World War I veteran.
