A German M18 helmet. Basically, a WW1 period time designed helmet model which was however rarely ssued again after 1935 to both Heer and Luftwaffe soldiers. The shell received an M34 helmet liner most of the time and was painted with fieldgrey color. One or two Wehrmacht decals were applied.
This example comes with full WW1 period time paint which was overpainted during WWII with a khaki-green color camo paint. The shell shows signs of wear, age and some rust.
Decals: no decals were applied
The liner is still flexible.
Size 56 (marked but hard to read)
Chins strap: Soft. Signs of wear. 1940 dated and maker marked.
Markings: "66" size marked. The maker's mark is hard to read. The dome is numbered.
